Cafe Welchez is grown, harvested, sorted, and roasted at Finca Santa Isabel, our family-owned coffee plantation located at the perfect altitude for growing premium coffee.

In the early 1960´s, Don Raúl Welchez started Finca Santa Isabel, in the high mountains of Copán, Honduras. Since that time, Don Raúl was perfecting his procedures and techniques to produce a high quality coffee, now the farm is run by his two sons Raul and Juan Angel.

Cafe Welchez was the first specialty coffee cultivated in our region for sale to international visitors. For years tourists to the famous Maya ruins have enjoyed our coffee, often packing a pound or two in their suitcase to savor at home.
